Since 2003 I have been an Honorary Professor at the University of Hull and lecture there regularly.
I am a frequent lecturer on employment law to commercial and university audiences, and have written or co authored 15 books including Bowers on Employment Law, now in its Seventh Edition, The Law of Industrial Action and Trade Union Recognition and Whistleblowing both published by OUP. I co-wrote Blackstones Employment Law Practice a leading book on tribunal procedure and am a frequent contributor to the Law Society Gazette, New Law Journal and the Industrial Law Journal. I am an editor of Atkins Court Forms. I attach a list of books authored or co authored.
I have often judged moots at Universities and have sat on university disciplinary bodies. I often appear on television and radio discussing employment law.
I am heavily involved in advocacy training both to members of Middle Temple and the Employment Law Bar Association.
